The past Sunday night I attended a new seminary vision sharing dinner party. It was great to see so many people supported a new ministry established in the south bay. There were 9 tables at the dinner and the presentation was very good and very professionally done. I am glad for all those involved and hopefully when the school starts in January there will be more and more students enrolling and enriching themselves with God's words.
Sometimes I feel people living and working in the bay-area are lacking in spiritual guidance. People are very successful in terms of career and possession but are weak and vulnerable deep inside. Spiritual leaders are needed to guide them. New ministry is a first step in producing these leaders. It's really not easy to be church leaders or spiritual leaders in the bay-area because they constantly receive challenges from smart and able people. I do admire those who work in seminaries and churches in bay-area because they have to be extra-equipped with God's words and God's grace to resolve the challenges posted by these people.
