I have been enjoying my stay in Hong Kong so far. It's been a great visit filled with meeting friends, shopping, eating and sleeping. Hong Kong has changed a lot since I last visited 5.5 years ago. Most notably the improvement of customer service really impressed me. Restaurants' staff are very well-trained and make you feel very comfortable. All the restaurants are very well-decorated and well-lit.
The most frequently visited restaurants by me are 1) McDonald's and 2) Cafe de Coral. McDonald's here has so many kinds of food that the state's Macs don't have. For example, red-bean pies, iced milk tea, korean bbq beef pita, honey pear tea, chicken fillet pita etc. Then Cafe de Coral's menu is so huge. To me everything look really delicious: steak, soup, various rice dishes etc. The food quality is very good and the restaurant is always packed with people.
MTR has been my main source of travel in HK. i don't really miss my car in the states :) And I really enjoy going up and down and up and down MTR stations every day. I've been using up my Octopus Pass pretty quickly. Might need to 'refill' the pass very soon because I also use the pass to buy food in 7-Eleven and taking buses.
HK people doesn't really do emails. Everyone have fancy phones so people just call one another. The internet stations in various malls are usually not occupied. Or, they are usually occupied by westerners.
Today is Friday and Tai Koo Shing where I am doing email has tons of young people. They shop and eat and come to watch this romantic movie by Andy Lau, Charlene Choi and Yeung Choi Lei. I watched a few days ago and it was excellent movie.
I think I should grab something to eat before tonight's 2nd gathering with some primary schoolmates. Signing Off!
